American Cancer Society
A national health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer. For patients and their families, the agency provides practical help, information and emotional support.

Charlotte Maxwell (Oakland)
This state-licensed health clinic provides free complementary treatments to low-income women with cancer, including acupuncture, homeopathy, massage, therapeutic imagery.

California Pacific Medical Center (CPMC) Breast Health Center
The Center provides breast diagnostic and support services, including screening, breast ultrasound, image guided biopsy procedures, and breast health education.

Latina Breast Cancer Agency- Latinabc
The Agency conducts outreach to Latinas, provides access to free screening and treatment, as well as provides emotional support.

Womens Cancer Resource Center
Empowers women with cancer to be active and informed consumers and survivors as well as provides a community for women with cancer and their supporters. Provides therapy, cooking classes, and many more monthly activities.

Círculo de Vida
Offers a variety of support programs to Latinos living with cancer. The program also provides professional therapy individually and in a group setting

Instituto Familiar de la Raza
IFR provides health & wellness programs and services targeting the San Francisco Latino community. They are committed to addressing the most difficult issues impacting our community, whether that is HIV, violence, family disputes, trauma, or other behavioral and mental health issues.

Anna’s Program, Hospice And Palliative Care Of Contra Costa (Concord)
Provides emotional, practical, and spiritual support to women with advanced breast cancer who need assistance in their homes.

Breast and Cervical Cancer Care Coordination And Navigation Program (CCAN) (Statewide)
Supports current and post-treatment breast and cervical cancer patients, and the providers who care for them. Services offered throughout California and conveniently by phone.

Bay Area Cancer Connections (Palo Alto)
Bay Area Cancer Connections supports anyone affected by breast or ovarian cancer with personalized services that inform and empower.

Hers Breast Cancer Foundation (Fremont)
Promotes the physical, mental, and spiritual well-being of women, girls, and families through charitable services that promote greater access to education, advocacy, and support.

El Camino Hospital (Mountain View)
Cancer information — including books, videotapes, classes and more — at our Health Library & Resource Center. We offer online access for researching cancer and treatment options, and our medical librarians are available to assist you. Free, online cancer risk assessments for breast, colorectal, lung.

Gynecologic/Ovarian Cancer Support Group- John Muir
A support group for women with a diagnosis of a gynecologic malignancy. The session is facilitated by a psychologist. A gynecology oncology nurse also participates and provides information regarding treatment. Meets 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month from 11am-12:30pm. Hereditary Breast and Ovarian Cancer Support Group- John Muir
Are you BRCA1 or BRCA2-positive and in need of support? Specifically for women at high risk for breast and ovarian cancer, this support group will provide emotional support as well as practical resources. These every-other-month group meetings create a safe atmosphere to learn and bond with others who understand what you’re going through. This group assists women in adjusting to new genetic information and allows women to learn from each other about how to move forward in positive and life-affirming ways. Kaiser Modesto: Cancer Support Group
Explore the topic of cancer in a comfortable setting through the various aspects of diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship. This group is for individuals who are undergoing or who have completed cancer treatment. It is intended for cancer patients only; no spouses, significant others, or children please.

Kaiser Sacramento General Oncology Support
Join cancer survivors and their loved ones in a caring, supportive group to share experiences and find current information in an emotionally healing environment. Participants are in all stages of the disease process: diagnosis, surgical treatment, radiation treatment, chemotherapy, and hormonal therapy. This group meets every Monday from 4:30pm to 6pm at the Sacramento Morse Avenue Cottage Building, Conference Room A.

Kaiser San Francisco Breast Cancer Support
This group provides emotional support and pertinent information for people coping with breast cancer. This is a safe place for patients, family, and friends to express feelings and reduce anxiety around breast cancer diagnosis and treatment.

Kaiser Stockton Cancer Support Group
Explore the topic of cancer in a comfortable setting through the various aspects of diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship. Kara
Kara provides comprehensive grief support, crisis intervention and education to individuals and communities facing the difficult realities of death and dying. Our services offer emotional support and information to those grieving a death or coping with a terminal illness (their own or another’s)

Letters to Cancer
This is a support group formed at Shanti, where women of all ages, with gynecological and other cancers get together and share their experiences, heal, bond, and write letters to Cancer. PLEASE JOIN US AT ONE OF OUR TWICE MONTHLY MEETINGS IN SAN FRANCISCO AT SHANTI PROJECT.

The Cancer Resource Center supports wellness and healing by providing patients and their loved ones with information, emotional support, and community resources.

CARE Group at ZSFGH
The C.A.R.E. Program is designed for people with cancer who receive their care and treatment at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital. Through the C.A.R.E. Program, people diagnosed with cancer receive education and For more information about the C.A.R.E. program, please call: (415) 206-7464 support, as well as a free, healthy, and delicious meal every week.
Providers may refer patients to the C.A.R.E. program on e-Referral through the ZSFG C.A.R.E. clinic.
The C.A.R.E. program is available in English, Spanish and Chinese. The fall series schedule is as follows:
♥ Chinese group: Mondays at 1:30 – 4:00PM beginning Summer 2016
♥ English group: Tuesdays at 5:30-7:30PM beginning Summer 2016
♥ Spanish group: Thursdays at 5:30-7:30PM beginning Summer 2016
All groups take place in the Community Wellness Program located at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital, 1001 Potrero Ave., main hospital building, second floor, Room 2D35, across from the cafeteria.
